What Went Wrong?

What Went Wrong? Did anyone think that Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp could be in a terrible move? Nope me neither. When I heard The Tourist was coming out with two of the most recognized female and male actors today, I thought it was going to be a masterpiece. However after seeing the movie it became evident that the acting was average and that the directing was lacking. On paper this film looked highly suspenseful but it proved in theatres to be slow and boring. The movie was a poor remake of the 2005 film “Anthony Zimmer”. Mobsters and police are after Elise’s (Angelina’s) boyfriend; however she knows that they are watching her so she confuses them with a guy that she meets on a train. She is in love and will do anything to help keep her mysterious real boyfriend concealed. The stranger she meets on the trains name is Frank (Johnny Depp), who she makes out to be her boyfriend. But the Police and Mobsters can’t tell if it is really him so they hold off on taking him down. When they arrive at their destination Frank and Elise end up staying together for the night at a hotel. They kiss and it is easily visible by Police and Mobsters out the window. This ignites a fuse where Frank is racing to save his own life and his new lover Elise that he hardly knows. Sounds like a rush doesn’t it, I thought the same until I saw it and realized it lacked the suspense I thought it was going to hold.
