Life as we know it …is about to change

No doubly a “chick flick” that would cause boys to run, Life As We Know It entertained me for its 114 minutes but will never be on the top of my charts. Life As We Know captured my attention because of the interesting story line. Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) runs an upscale café in Atlanta, which she hopes to ultimately turn into a restaurant. The cocky womanizer Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) directs live sports events on television. Their worlds collide when their best friends Peter and Allison (Hayes MacArthur and Christina Hendricks) are killed in a car crash leaving behind their 1-year-old daughter Shopie. After viewing the will it comes to Holly and Eric’s attention that they are in it as Shopie’s joint custodians. To make matters worse Holly and Eric despise each other due to their haunting past. Holly and Eric are both single independent people who know nothing about raising a child. For Shopie’s sake the reader of the will suggest that it would be best if they both live in Peter and Allison’s house. This raises havoc in the film that ultimately dies down after a rollercoaster of events. I would recommend this film for those who enjoy romantic comedies pertaining to new parents like Knocked Up or The Back up Plan. Personally I did enjoy this film and considered it a “cute” story but if this is not ones preferred genre of movie then they will absolutely hate it.
