The fun filled animated film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is the perfect blend of child friendly humor with wit that audiences of all ages would enjoy. The story follows a young man, Flint Lockwood, who is an inspiring inventor in a very small isolated island town whose main source of income comes from the sardines they catch. Flint feels isolated and stuck so he feels the need to bring something more to his little town of Chewandswallow.
Because sardines are the only things they catch in this little town, it is unfortunately the only thing that they eat. Flint decides to make a weather machine that creates clouds filled with whatever food flint could think of. The weather food machine is a great success at first bringing in tons of money and tourist to Chewandswallow, but when the food that falls from the sky begins to reach monstrous sizes, flint must scramble to avoid disaster and save the hoards of people that will be in town for the grand re-opening of the town.
This film a great film to bring the entire family to because it fosters a sense of supporting one another and selflessness for kids of all ages. It shows that no matter where you are and whatever hand of cards you are dealt, you can still achieve your dreams and find people around you that will support those dreams. I would definitely recommend this film for everyone especially if you need a little boost of ambition and inspiration.
